March 2011
After being diagnosed with leukaemia early in 2007, Iain spent the rest of the year in and out of hospital in Nantes, and the subsequent years recovering. Now still in remission, he's beginning to pick up the threads of his music.
"2007 was horrific in so many ways. Particularly significant to me was a total loss of enthusiasm for music and everything to do with it. I haven't lost my dislike of some aspects of our industry, but I am now re-discovering my passion for the music itself. I don't think I'll ever be as driven as I was before the leukaemia - although I'm in remission at the moment, there is always the possibility that it will return, so that really puts life and it's priorities into perspective - but what the hell. Here I am, and things are moving again."
Currently rehearsing an exciting new project with his French band "Kiija" , Iain has also been working on his own solo album. (Examples to come soon)
